Three silvers, two bronzes on the XVII. Hungarian National Pálinka And International Fruit Distillate Competition of 2008, within the confines of the X. International Home-distilled Pálinka Festival, Exhibition and Fair.

On. 2009. 09. March kept in Budapest the secretive training of organoleptic jury of the XVII. Hungarian National Pálinka, International Fruit Distillate Competition (organized together with X. International Home-made Pálinka Festival, Exhibition And Fair, in Gyula 2009. April 17–18-19.) The competition begun on Thursday, at 9:00 a.m. in Gyula: testing of more than 700 pálinkas (distillates).

The jury with 22 members tests with leadership of headmaster Gáborné Panyi dr. the passed samples. The jury decides about which pálinka will be Hungary's best pálinka in 2009, that will be as a national treasure preserved in Hungarian Agricultural Museum in the frame of the II. Saint Nicolas Pálinka Festival in the first days of December.

The top- and professional juries define together the 10-10 best pálinkas, fruit distillates getting in front of the festival jury.

The jury of festival is ca. 150-250 persons, who are invited by the organizer. The supporting trade organisations may delegate 3 persons independently. The members of jury will be prepared by the director of competition or the president of jury: they review the main rules of the competition, the manner of the review, the points and values of the medals, etc… The review happens with the method applied by the academic jury, even if the festival jury makes the review. The festival jury's task, to consider the best, gold medal-winner 10 pay- and 10 commercial-distilled pálinkas, and to award the audience prize
